The upper flock began to leave the path and scatter over the hillside to graze. Our companions shouted at the shepherd that it was dangerous sheep and rocks might fall. Then, legs up, a large sheep flew through the air, landing on the path far below with an ominous thud.

Another flock is in the middle distance, in a shadow below a patch of old ice.
